Bezirk der ungarischen Hauptstadt Budapest. Der um 1810 vom französischen Landschaftsgärtner Nebbion angelegte Park ist ein beliebtes Naherholungsgebiet. Es erstreckt sich über eine Fläche von 1,2 ,km und war einst eine sumpfige Hügellandschaft. Den südwestlichen Eingang des Parks bildet der Heldenplatz am Ende der Andr¡ssy t. Im nördlichen Teil wird das Stadtwäldchen von der für den Autoverkehr freigegebenen K¡roly-Ks-Promenade (Ks K¡roly st¡ny) durchzogen. Im Lauf der Jahre haben sich auf dem Gelände viele Erholungs- und Kultureinrichtungen angesiedelt. Die Burg Vajdahunyad (Vajdahunyad v¡ra) befindet sich vom Heldenplatz aus gesehen auf der rechten Seite. Wie viele Denkmäler und Bauwerke entstand auch die Burg 1896 zu den Millenniumsfeierlichkeiten. Der im mittelalterlichen Stil errichtete burgartige Gebäudekomplex mit einem Burgtor, spitzen Türmen, Giebeln und Zinnen wurde unter Leitung des ungarischen Baumeisters Ign¡c Alp¡r errichtet. Ign¡c Alp¡r versuchte die für Ungarn typischen Baustile in seinem Werk zu vereinigen.
