The Zoological Garden in Berlin Charlottenburg is the oldest zoo in Germany and houses one of the most comprehensive collections of animal species in the world. The Zoological Garden train station (also called the Zoo train station) is located in the Charlottenburg district and is one of the first underground subway stations in Berlin. The walls are decorated with animal motifs, indicating the nearby zoo. In the immediate vicinity you can reach the Berlin Zoo, the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church, the Europa Center and the Kurfürstendamm.
