Günster Wasserfall

The highest waterfall in Styria falls over 65m in three cascades.
It is located between the mountaineering village of Krakautal and Schöder and has been accessible via paths and stairs since 1906. The waterfall is on the 9th stage of the “From Glacier to Wine” hiking route and cascades over the primary rocks of the Schladminger Tauern down to the Knöstenbach. 250 to 300 liters per second rush over the three cascades of the waterfall. The Gnster waterfall is a popular excursion destination and can be reached via various hiking trails. The waterfall is surrounded by dark, mystical spruce forests where blackberries can be found.
