Very well-preserved palace/castle, called ´the picture castle´ a lot of good information on the homepage opening times daily from Tuesday to Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (last entry: 5.30 p.m.) Easter Monday and Whit Monday open! Am 24 December, 25 December, 31 December and 01 January Runkelstein Castle will be closed. On all opening days there is a guided tour in German at 3 p.m. Inside the castle complex there is the castle tavern, which offers hot food throughout the day. On the menu you will find typical South Tyrolean dishes adapted to the respective season. If you order in advance, we will also be happy to prepare historical menus based on original recipes.
