TOPZIEL - Schloss Linderhof

Located in the Upper Bavarian municipality of Ettal in southern Bavaria, the ´Royal Villa´ Linderhof Palace is the palace of King Ludwig II of Bavaria and was built in several stages from 1870 to 1886. This small castle was built in what his father Max II called the ´Royal Family´ and moved in 1874 to a location about 200 meters west of the current castle.
Schloss Linderhof is the smallest of Ludwig II´s three palaces and the only one that was completed during his lifetime. Linderhof Palace is considered the favorite palace of the ´Fairy Tale King´ and the palace in which he has stayed most often. The castle and the garden are available for tourists to visit.
