The church in Barciany is a hall building from 1389. In 1400 the sacristy with a barrel vault was added to the south. In 1714 the east gable was rebuilt. The southern vestibule was built in 1783 with a new ribbed cross vault. In the years 1729-1741 the 16th century tower was rebuilt. In 1804 it received the current roof. 1989-1990 an extensive renovation of the interior took place. Special pieces of equipment are the altar from 1643, the organ from 1750. Two chandeliers are no longer available, a gift from Tsarina Elizabeth.
From the Reformation until 1945 the church was a Protestant place of worship. It was expropriated in favor of the Catholic Church and received the consecration Kosciol Niepokalanego Serca Marvi (Immaculate Heart of Mary) in 1962
