The Ulrichskirche in the municipality of Krakaudorf in Austria is a branch church dedicated to St. Ulrich, the Bishop of Augsburg. It was built between 1497 and 1520 and is located on a hill at the entrance to the Etrachtal. Saint Ulrich is revered as the patron saint of fishermen, travelers and hikers. The church is part of the Krakaudorf parish and stands on a hill at the entrance to the Etrachtal. In addition to Ulrich´s Church, there are also many wayside crosses, chapels and marterls in the area that are witnesses to ancient folk art. Today´s Krakaudorf parish church was first mentioned as a chapel in 1234. The Krakaudorf parish church is dedicated to St. Oswald, King of Northumbria, who is revered as the patron saint of reapers and the patron saint of livestock. The parish fair is celebrated on the first Sunday in August.
15.02.2015: The in the 15th century. Built Ulrich Church is a Gothic rectangular building and still almost intact in its original form.. A special rarity is beamed ceiling, which is richly decorated with stencil painting and writing tapes.. | The painting of the predella of the altarpiece is created from a template Albrecht Dürer. @
