Die Arena wurde am 17. Juni 1972 eröffnet. Sie beinhaltet unter anderem eine Eislaufhalle mit 7.000 Sitzplätzen, eine Ballsporthalle für 3.100 Zuschauer und mehrere kleinere Sporthallen sowie ein Fitnessstudio und einen Schießstand. Im April 2007 wurde im Dom ¡portova die Eishockey-Weltmeisterschaft der Herren der Division II (Gruppe A) ausgetragen.
