Burggrabenklamm
Sight / waterfall
The Burggrabenklamm, also known as Burggraben, is the lower section of the Burggraben and is located in the Schafberggruppe in the Attersee region in Salzburg´s Salzkammergut. The Klammbach has its tributaries particularly on the north and east sides of the Schafberg, takes in the water from the Magdalenenquelle and finally flows into the Attersee on its southern side in the Burgbachau, in the Unterburgau district of Sankt Gilgen, at an altitude of 489 m above sea level End .
The Burggrabenklamm can be accessed via the federal highways B154 and B151 to Unterach and then on the federal highway B152 towards Weissenbach. The gorge is suitable for hiking and offers a secured hiking trail along the rocks. The hike into the Burggrabenklamm ends at a small waterfall and is also suitable for children, but requires supervision as the path is secured with a rope and may not be safe for children.
28.05.2018: PoiBesuc 05/2018 | The Burggrabenklamm is still closed in May 2018.24.03.2013: The trail begins near the Jager host Seeleitenstr., Unterach, and shortly thereafter leads past the statue of the Madonna.
