Schloss Geyersberg
Sight / lock
A first mention comes from the year 1290. At that time the castle belonged to the spiritual principality of Würzburg. Otto von Lichtenstein bought the castle in 1449 and the family lived here until 1822. In the period that followed there were several changes of ownership, the Lords of Bibra, von Babel-Rammingen and in 1839 the Counts of Ortenburg. Unfortunately, the castle fell into disrepair until 1961, when the Salb family bought the ruins, and they still own it today. Today celebrations and events are arranged by the Salb family.
