Giants Causeway
Sight / Landscape
When we arrived at the Giant´s Causeway it had just stopped raining. We started the hike to the famous rock formations via the upper coastal path. The 6-sided reddish basalt columns stand close together on the coast. The rock is the result of volcanic activity. According to legend, it is said to be the work of the giant Finn McCool, who built a path to the Scottish hybrids to get to his beloved. The path then led us down steps to the sea. There you can examine the stones directly on the pillars that reach directly into the sea.
19.04.2017: PoiBesuc 04/2017 | Very interesting basalt rock formation. The genesis of the legend is not quite correct.. It was the giant Finn McCool, who however built the Causeway to get to his Scottish opponent.. When he got there, he found it so big that he immediately made his way back.. The Scottish giant came to Ireland.. Mrs. McCools was not stupid and disguised her husband as a baby.. When the Scotsman saw the giant baby, he thought to himself, if the baby is already so huge, how great then may the father be.. So he went back home without the two of them ever fighting ...16.08.2015: PoiBesuch: 07/2015 | 16.08.2015: PoiBesuc 07/2015 | The Causeway is approximately 1,5 km to the west. @ This POI EXISTERT HERE NOT
