This garden was established in 1765 by the first Countess of Ilchester. As a kitchen garden for her nearby castle and has since grown into a magnificent 20 acre garden filled with rare and exotic plants from around the world. The garden is a mix of native and subtropical flowers. Camellia groves, magnolias, rhododendrons and hydrangeas feature in this Victorian garden.
