Cliffs of Moher

The mighty Cliffs of Moher in County Clare are one of Irelandīs top attractions. They offer a unique view over the wild power of the Atlantic and the breathtaking beauty of Irelandīs west coast. The cliffs rise up to 214 meters in height and are more than eight kilometers long. From this height you look out over the wild and romantic Aran Islands, Galway Bay, the beautiful mountain ranges of Connemara. The new visitor experience center at the Cliffs of Moher nestles into the mountainside. It houses the Atlantic Edge exhibit area, Puffins Nest cafe, Long Dock restaurant and a variety of photographic views of the Cliff. The center is open year-round from 9:00 a.m., with closing times depending on the time of year.
To view the Cliffs of Moher from the sea, you should take a boat tour along the eight-kilometer stretch of coast. These tours are offered by numerous boat operators. You can also observe different species of seabirds on the cliffs.
