Beachy Head

Beachy Head is a headland on the south coast of England near the town of Eastbourne in East Sussex. The chalk cliff, part of the South Downs, is the highest in Britain at 162m above sea level. «br»In the sea in front of it stands a 43 m high lighthouse, which was completed in October 1902. Its light can be seen up to 26 nautical miles (42 km) away
