Museu da Carris

It is a museum dedicated to the history of public transport in Lisbon. It is located in the Alcântara district and was opened in 1999. The museum shows the development of public transport in the city and places an emphasis on the importance of rail as a defining feature. It presents various models of buses and trams that have been used over time public transport was used. In addition, there are collections of tickets, tram drivers´ uniforms, photos and documents.
