Museum of the German-Danish War 1864 at the Düppler Schanzen. The museum is located in the immediate vicinity of the historical sites with military trenches, soldiers´ graves and the historic Düppeler mill. The aforementioned historical sites can be accessed on a walk free of charge. In addition to an exhibition section, the museum contains an extensive outdoor area that shows the living situation of the soldiers. Special offers are included for children.
The museum features various exhibitions that deal with the events and consequences of the war. Visitors can see historical artifacts, documents, paintings and photographs and learn more about the background and impact of the war on Denmark and the surrounding regions.
The museum also offers guided tours where visitors can learn more about the Düppel Redoubts and the Battle of Dybbøl, considered the decisive battle of the war. It is an important place for the culture of remembrance and a place where visitors can learn more about the history and culture of the region.
