The cathedral of St. John - also known as the cathedral of Kamien - goes back to a brick building from the 13th/14th centuries. century back. The tower underwent several renovations. It was given its current form in 1936. Major parts of the interior furnishings such as the main altar, the oak pews, some sculptures and the crucifix were renewed or supplemented at the end of the 15th century. At the end of the 17th century the church was equipped with a baroque organ and a magnificent pulpit, among other things. The cathedral had been a Catholic parish church since the end of World War II. In 1972 she was appointed by Pope Paul VI. made a cathedral. It is one of the largest churches in Poland and the largest church in Pomerania.
