Originally built in the neo-classical style in 1829, the palace was later remodeled in the neo-baroque style and houses magnificent state halls used for ceremonies and receptions. The palace is a major landmark in Brussels and plays an important role in the constitutional monarchy of Belgium .

06.10.2014: The Royal Palace is not inhabited by the royal family but is the work of the king and is also used for state visits, hearings, etc.. | In The months of July and August since 1965 the palace can be visited.. Visitors should pay special attention to the ceiling of the Hall of Mirrors.. This was covered in 2002 with the tanks of 1.4 million scarabs which reflect the rays of light green. @
