Das Spektrum der Universität ist mit den drei Wissenschaftsgebieten Geisteswissenschaften/Gesellschaftswissenschaft, Medizin/Pharmazie und Technik/Naturwissenschaft breit gestreut. Die Universität gehört zu den größten Skandinaviens.
