WeiterUrl : https:/ / de.wikipedia.org/ wiki/ Burg Karneid UrlLoad : https:/ / yes WikiText : Die etwas östlich von Bozen gelegene Burg Karneid ragt auf einem steilen, von zwei Seiten scheinbar unersteiglichen Felshügel auf. Die wohl erst im späten 13. Jahrhundert erbaute und 1297 erwähnte Anlage besteht im wesentlichen aus Bergfried, Palas, Wohnturm, Ringmauer mit Schwalbenschwanzzinnen und Burgkapelle. Im 14. Jahrhundert wurde ein Zwinger hinzugefügt, im 16. Jahrhundert der heutige Eingang, Tortürme und einige Bauten im Inneren. Nachdem die Burg im späten 18. Jahrhundert begann, etwas in Verfall zu geraten, wurde sie von Ferdinand von Miller und seinen Erben sehr schön und historisch korrekt wieder instand gesetzt. 1870 übernahm Ferdinand von Malais, Schwiegersohn von Miller, die Burg. Seit 1973 ist nunmehr Christoph von Malais der Eigentümer. In den letzten Jahren wurden von der Gemeinde Karneid weitere Sanierungsmaßnahmen an der Burg durchgeführt. Grundlage ist ein Abkommen zwischen der Gemeindeverwaltung und Herrn von Malais, gemäß welchem die Burg als Gegenleistung für verschiedene Restaurierungmaßnahmen in Zukunft für einige öffentliche Veranstaltungen (Konzerte, Autorenlesungen, Empfänge u.a.) zur Verfügung gestellt wird. Seit Frühjahr 2006 ist es auch möglich, Burg Karneid in den Monaten April bis Oktober zu besichtigen. Entsprechende Anfragen können an die Gemeinde Karneid gestellt werden. Die geführten Besichtigungen finden bei ausreichender Teilnehmerzahl am Freitag zwischen 15 und 18 Uhr statt.
