Veczemju klintis
Sight / Miscellaneous
The Veczemju klintis are 3 to 4 meter high red sandstone cliffs just off the coast of Riga Bay north of Tuja. The sandstone was partially washed away by the sea waves over a length of about 200 meters, so that niches and caves that are accessible from the beach have formed in the rocks. Above the formation there are numerous picnic areas and fireplaces, which are used by Latvians, especially on weekends.
24.01.2019: PoiBesuc 06/2017 | Beautiful sandy beach where you can go for a longer hike and see the various caves washed out.. You can always find caves where you can find intensive shell deposits.
