Trostburg

An absolute must for every castle fan!! The Trostburg near Waidbruck has been open to the public since 1977 and has been a hit among the region´s castles ever since! Its history dates back to the 12th century. back and you have no trouble immersing yourself in the past: * Magnificent knights´ halls, fortifications from the Minnezeit (e.g. singer Oswald von Wolkenstein) * late Gothic residential architecture with Romanesque window arches and doors * paneling and stucco decorations from the 16th and 16th centuries 17th century and the time of the Renaissance and much more. Opening times from Maundy Thursday to the end of October. A visit to the South Tyrolean Castle Museum Trostburg is currently only possible with guided tours (German, Italian). Monday rest day Guided tours take place: Maundy Thursday until the end of June 11 a.m., 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. July and August 10 a.m.,
